Studio Moota
Website privacy
This page is about moota.studio, the website. Each app has its own privacy notice, because each asks your Mac for different things.
Who is responsible
Studio Moota — Seoksoon Jang, an individual trading as Studio Moota, in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Contact: hello@moota.studio.
What this website does
It sets no cookies. It runs no analytics. It embeds nothing from anyone else — no fonts, no scripts, no trackers, no embedded video. It is static files.
Your appearance choice — light or dark — is stored in your own browser and is never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What is unavoidable
The site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google), which keeps standard server logs: an IP address, a timestamp, what was requested, and what your browser reports about itself. This is ordinary web-server record-keeping and we do not combine it with anything else or use it to identify you.
Basis: our legitimate interest in serving and securing the site. Google states that Firebase Hosting retains IP data for a few months. Google operates internationally; its privacy and processing information is at firebase.google.com/support/privacy/.
Downloading an app
Download links use GitHub Releases to deliver the installer. GitHub receives ordinary connection and request information, including your IP address and the requested file. Its privacy statement is at docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement.
Downloading an installer does not buy a licence or start an in-app trial. A purchase uses the separate checkout described below.
Buying something
Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as merchant of record and process your details under their own privacy policy. Following a buy link takes you to them. We never see your card.
Your rights, and where to go next
You can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@moota.studio. If you are in the UK or the EEA you may also complain to your data protection authority.
For what an app collects on your Mac, read that app’s privacy notice. They are linked from each app’s page.
