MusicControl
Terms
The agreement between you and Studio Moota when you use MusicControl. Short, because there is not much to it: you buy a licence to use software, and we try to make software worth the licence.
Who you are agreeing with
Studio Moota — Seoksoon Jang, an individual trading as Studio Moota, in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Contact: hello@moota.studio.
Installing or using MusicControl means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not install it; if you have paid, ask for a refund and we will give you one.
What you are buying
A licence to use MusicControl. Not the software itself, and not its source. We keep everything we have not expressly given you here.
One licence covers three personal Macs. Personal means Macs you use — not Macs belonging to an organisation that bought one licence for its staff. If you need more, write to us. We would rather arrange it than have you work around it.
You may not redistribute the app, resell it, share a licence key beyond those Macs, or work around the licence check. You may not remove the signature or ship a modified copy.
The licence is perpetual: you keep the version you bought for as long as you like.
The trial
MusicControl offers a 7-day trial. It begins only when you press the button that begins it — never on install, never silently — and it asks for no card.
When it ends the app stops doing the paid thing. It deletes nothing of yours, and nothing you made during the trial is held back from you.
Price
MusicControl is $19 once, plus any tax your country applies, paid once. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record: they take the payment, issue the receipt, and handle the tax.
There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Refunds
Fourteen days, no reason needed. The full policy is in MusicControl’s Pricing and at moota.studio/refunds, and it applies to MusicControl.
Updates
Updates are delivered through Sparkle and are cryptographically signed. Your copy checks each one against a key built into it, and refuses anything that does not verify.
Your one-time licence does not expire, has no recurring payment, and includes every update.
We may change, and occasionally remove, features. Where a removal would matter we will say so before it happens.
What we do not promise
Software has faults. MusicControl is supplied as it is. We will work to fix what is broken, but we cannot promise it will be free of faults, that it will suit a particular purpose of yours, or that it will keep working unchanged across future versions of macOS.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost work, lost profit, lost time, lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, nothing here removes rights the law gives you that cannot be signed away.
Ending it
You may stop using the app at any time and delete it.
We may end a licence if it is used in a way these terms forbid — redistribution, or defeating the licence check. We will tell you why, and where the breach can be put right we will give you the chance to put it right.
The rest
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law where you live.
If any part of this is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up.
